ProActive How To: understand Stats

Today\'s date is displayed at the top of the statistics set.

Statistics displays the following columns:

Statistic Types are: Public, Admin, Search, Refer, Newsletter, Poll or Unique User ID.Total: Displays the total number of public page presentations for your site.

Month: The number of page presentations so far this month (last 30 days).

Avg: The average daily presentations.

Last 24 hours: The number of pages presented in the past 24 hours.

Public Statistics

Click Public Stats:

Statistics are able to be sorted by any the following table headings eg: IP,UID, Link, D M Y.

IP: The visitors IP address - visit a whois site such as Whois Source - paste the IP address into the form and submit to obtain the registrants details.

UID: A unique User session ID - clicking this will display all the pages visited by this user in this session.

Link: Clinking the Link will present the page in your site that this visitor visited.

D M Y: Day/Month/Year.H M S: Hour Minutes seconds.

Admin Statistics

Click Admin Stats:

Statistics are able to be sorted by any the following table headings eg: IP,User, Link, D M Y.

IP: The visitors IP address - visit a whois site such as Whois Source - paste the IP address into the form and submit to obtain the registrants details.

User: The Username of the individual accessing the administration page

Link: The Link details the page in your administration that this user accessed.

D M Y: Day/Month/Year.H M S: Hour Minutes seconds.

Search Statistics

Click Search Stats:

Statistics are able to be sorted by any the following table headings eg: IP, Search term, Number of results, D M Y.

IP: The visitors IP address - visit a whois site such as Whois Source - paste the IP address into the form and submit to obtain the registrants details.

Search term: The word or term searched for.

Number of results: The number of instances of the search word or term searched for.

D M Y: Day/Month/Year.

H M S: Hour Minutes seconds.

Newsletter Statistics

Click Newsletter Stats:

Statistics are able to be sorted by any the following table headings eg: ID, Username, D M Y.

ID: Record identifier for this newsletter. Click this number to display a report for this Newsletter.

Username: The Username of the individual who sent the Newsletter.

Total Sent: The number of Newsletters emailed out.

D M Y: Day/Month/Year.H M S: Hour Minutes seconds.

Newsletter Report

The report display a graph of the Newsletters sent indication the number of Newsletters read, Unknown, the number of Newsletters forwarded, the numnber of bounced email addresses.

ProActive lists in the left column all the successful email addresses.

ProActive lists in the right column all the unsuccessful email addresses. Email addresses in this column should be verified and updated in each users profile to ensure delivery of your Newsletters.

Scroll down to view a liting of the possible forwards for this Newsletter. Proactive displays the email address of the individual who has forwarded the newsletter as well as a count of the number of times the newsletter was forwarded.

ProActive displays a graph of Top 10 Possible Forwards.

ProActive displays a count of the number of clicks made via the newsletter as well as a graph of the top 10 Click counts.

Referer Statistics

Click Refer Stats:

Statistics are able to be sorted by any the following table headings eg: IP, Refer, D M Y.

IP: The visitors IP address - visit a whois site such as Whois Source - paste the IP address into the form and submit to obtain the registrants details.

UID: A unique User session ID - clicking this will display all the pages visited by this user in this session.

Refer: The referer value.

D M Y: Day/Month/Year.

H M S: Hour Minutes seconds.

User Agent: Displays information about the browser or indexing spider/robot accessing the page via the refer link.

Setting a Referer link: A Referer link allows you to track when a link has been clicked. They are also useful for tracking external links to your site. A Referer link is created by simply adding ref=myreferlink (replace myreferlink with your own text - do not use spaces or special characters). If the URL already has a ? (http://www.proactivecms.com/index.php?id=59) the refer link is added by appending &ref=myreferlink: http://www.proactivecms.com/index.php?id=59&ref=myreferlink. Refer links are displayed in the refer statistics.

Poll Statistics

Click Poll Stats:

Statistics are able to be sorted by any the following table headings eg: ID, Name, Secure.

ID: Reference number for a Poll. Click a reference number to view the reults of this poll.Name: Name given to a poll.

Secure: Indicates if this poll is a secure poll.
